A man came down to the circulation desk and told us about a woman in the 24/7 hallway asking for an ambulance. I called an ambulance.

The computers that patrons use to look up the call number have a lot of dust build up in the hard drives. I noticed that the storage closet doesn’t have any dust spray. It would be nice to clean the keyboards.

LA-2203 quiet study will be closed on December 4th, 2014 to complete renovations. Students can be directed to LL108 and 5th floor for quiet study areas.
When you check in a book with orange tape over the call number and a message comes up that says In Transit from circdesk to csb, those are compact shelf books. You can open another Sierra and log in with the username “compact” and password “mcirc” and check the book in there to clear the In Transit status.

A patron came to the desk and informed us that the ceiling of elevator 4 had fallen onto the ground. We discovered that the middle tile of the roof fell down.

The 2008 copy of the Personality book has been found. Adrian, if you emailed the professor that it was missing, you can tell him it is back.

several students have come to the circulation desk complaining about the room being extremely cold( 62 degrees Fahrenheit )
There was a fire alarm this morning because facilities accidentally set it off. Most people exited and the doors did lock. There was no list for checking off employees because there was no one in admin and I don’t believe another department controls the list.
During an emergency alarm drop everything and head to the nearest exit. Remember we have an exit located behind the Man-Bear-Pig sign which may be safer than taking the Dome stairs. once out of the building, head to the grass area in between the Library Dome and Student Services West. Wait there to check in.
If you are reading this please email tcompton@mail.sdsu.edu and let me know that you are indeed reading the logs. If you are reading daily then you are doing awesome. If you are not then we have some work to do. I say we because I also forget to look every day also and I need to improve. Thank you for the email and have a great day.
