NO OVERNIGHT CHECKOUT!!
If someone handed you a toilet seat, would you take it?
Well, phones are far dirtier and even more full of bacteria. Don’t handle them and, if you do, make sure you disinfect yourself afterwards.
Ask the user to write down the call #; that’s why we supply paper and pencils all along the counter.
If you’re not busy helping Library users, you should be pro-active helping students look up material.
If someone doesn’t know how to look up a book, either Reserves or in our regular collection, take them to the computers at the end of the counter if time permits – if you send them to the computers without going with them they usually don’t even know what they’re looking at.
So, not helpful.
If there’s a line waiting, use your own computer to show the student the process. You can let them know that they need to do it themselves next time.
A reminder regarding confidentiality of information – never share personal information about any of our Library users, and do NOT share schedule information about the student assistants.
The whole Reference area will be open overnight, but Community Users must leave by 10:30. If you have any problems, let the guard know
The toilet was clogged and the plummer reported paper towels being the issue. Please don’t do that.
Have a great day!

If people ask, we currently only have one GoPro kit available for check-out. The large container with GoPro accessories currently in the media equipment area is not available for check-out.
Sometimes the older HP laptops don’t connect automatically to the wi-fi. If a patron runs into this issue, try switching the wi-fi icon from red (or orange) to blue. It’s the 3rd icon to the right of the power button. If it’s off it will be red/orange, on is blue. It looks like a little radio tower with waves coming off it.
As of 5:20pm 10/10/17 the restroom in the circulation department is out of order. Custodial services has been contacted and will come on 10/11/17 to repair it.
We’re getting lots of people needing to take the Library tour, but they don’t have the app and our tablets have been kind of wonky when it comes to opening the tour etc.
From the website:
Use your own (tablet), or borrow one from the Circulation Desk. …. {you can take the tour by} entering the short URL into your web browser.
The URL for each station appears on the poster
