24/7 Room F thermostat hissing(Air) sound from Wall

Loud hissing sound from thermostat in room F in the 24/7 area. Someone either hit the thermostat with a chair or tried to adjust it and pulled it off the wall slightly. The sound came from a very small air hose that is in the wall that leads into the thermostat. The thermostat has 2 small pipes in the back that enter the two air hoses from the wall. I readjusted the thermostat and pushed it back on the mount and made sure the pipes entered the air hoses and the noise stopped.

Leak in the 24/7 area (10 feet in front of desk)

There was a constant leak reported to us by the 24/7 students. They tried to call the after hours facilities number, but were unaware that you have to press 9 (Turn on tone sender) before pressing 0 to be patched through to the call center. Its been called in and I received a call from John and he said he is working to get someone over here.

Patron codes 1 and 2 in Sierra

Patron Codes 1 and 2 for Sierra Patron records are changing today to be utilized for troubleshooting. Patron code 1 will indicate how a record was updated. Patron Code 2 will indicate how a record was added. All of the records added before today will have an “l” Lagacy for patron code 2.

Currently a patron record is add/updated from multiple sources that include Registrar (Sims-R), Human Resources, Extended Studies (Done Manually), and soon foundation. If there is a problem with a patron record (Expiration date or bad data), we should be able to figure out where we are getting the data and fix the issue from the source.

Pcode 1 was normally used to stop records from being updated automatically by placing a “d” DOP (Don’t Overlay Patron). That function will still work and will indicate that a record was updated manually. If Pcode 1 or 2 has an Extended Studies label, it was a record that was add/updated manually through an uploading process. The data from extended studies is cleaned up by me in an excel file and uploaded using parameters that I set. These records are more likely to have errors because of the original file data is bad or I made a mistake when preparing the data for uploading. Let me know if there are serious errors with these records because I should be able to fix them.

**Update**
The scripts did not work properly this morning, so these changes will take effect next week.

Fire Alarm

There was a fire alarm this morning because facilities accidentally set it off. Most people exited and the doors did lock. There was no list for checking off employees because there was no one in admin and I don’t believe another department controls the list.

During an emergency alarm drop everything and head to the nearest exit. Remember we have an exit located behind the Man-Bear-Pig sign which may be safer than taking the Dome stairs. once out of the building, head to the grass area in between the Library Dome and Student Services West. Wait there to check in.
