The door to SCC was not closing.  Campus maintenance contacted.  I asked Robert to stand by door in case it still was not fixed when the library closes at 7 pm tonight.  Just checked…all OK

Bill and Claire quickly responded to a call from Reference yesterday when a female patron passed out.  (She was OK, refused to go to the hospital, but much better after some time passed.)   After reading today’s Police Media report, I have to suspect that heat is taking its toll on a number of folks on campus.  To all:  keep cool and drink water!  To those of you who take such good care of our patrons:  THANK YOU!

According to Student Disability Services, Norma Santos should be told go to SDS if she is having any problems with her school work.  (See earlier posts from today.)  Calling the police in this particular case was fine; especially due to the concern about her own welfare.  We should not be giving her service beyond what we provide to our other patrons.

I’m going to contact Student Disability Services to see if they can enlighten us about Norma Santos.  I’ll be in touch with staff at the Circ desk.
