.We thought we had a workaround, but it apparently didn’t work out.
If you get calls from people who have an HP and are being prompted to login, tell them to bring the computer back to us. They might want to check out a Chromebook instead….

NO OVERNIGHT CHECKOUT!!
Don’t handle other people’s phones
If someone handed you a toilet seat, would you take it?
Well, phones are far dirtier and even more full of bacteria. Don’t handle them and, if you do, make sure you disinfect yourself afterwards.
Ask the user to write down the call #; that’s why we supply paper and pencils all along the counter.
Get out of your chair, please
If you’re not busy helping Library users, you should be pro-active helping students look up material.
If someone doesn’t know how to look up a book, either Reserves or in our regular collection, take them to the computers at the end of the counter if time permits – if you send them to the computers without going with them they usually don’t even know what they’re looking at.
So, not helpful.
If there’s a line waiting, use your own computer to show the student the process. You can let them know that they need to do it themselves next time.
Do not share personal information
A reminder regarding confidentiality of information – never share personal information about any of our Library users, and do NOT share schedule information about the student assistants.
New 24/7 policy
The whole Reference area will be open overnight, but Community Users must leave by 10:30. If you have any problems, let the guard know

Library tour can be done without a device plus barcode/QR reader app
We’re getting lots of people needing to take the Library tour, but they don’t have the app and our tablets have been kind of wonky when it comes to opening the tour etc.
From the website:
Use your own (tablet), or borrow one from the Circulation Desk. …. {you can take the tour by} entering the short URL into your web browser.
The URL for each station appears on the poster
Paying for Library bills /fines
Only students pay Library bills at Cashiers.
Faculty and Staff pay here, at the Circulation Desk –
If someone asks where to pay, ask them what they are first before sending them away. They get annoyed if we send them to Cashiers and then they can’t pay
Where are the Guest Print cards??
You know, the white envelope with the 3 Guest print cards we check out to patrons?
