Dobrino Russell is a Community User who is representing herself as either a former Grad student or former instructor who has been taking up a lot of staff time by asking for assistance with various tech questions or projects. While we are always ready to assist patrons with legitimate problems, it may be that Ms. Russell is not looking so much for assistance as she is for attention.
PIN creation issues
We’re getting a lot of calls from users who are trying to establish a PIN. The on-line link for patrons to ‘Create/Forgot your PIN’ is broken, so here’s the shortcut for you to walk the user through PIN creation: have them go to library’s homepage and click ‘My Library Record’. They enter their name and Red ID. Have them make up a PIN – must be 8 characters long (letters & numbers) and type it in the PIN field. IMPORTANT: after they enter their PIN, they must click ‘SUBMIT’, not ‘Create/Forgot’. The next page will ask them to enter their new PIN twice more, and that should do it.
Exposer on the 4th floor
A female student was in the North-West corner of the 4th floor at 1:40 today when a male patron walked up and exposed himself to her. His description: approx 5’8″, slender, dark short hair, Mediterranean or Middle Eastern, light blue t-shirt, jeans.
Be aware of your surroundings when in the bookstacks. If you see anything suspicious, please report it to authorities immediately. If you have any questions on who and how to contact, please speak to Bill S. or Circ Staff
Reference materials – no renewals
Reference materials cannot be renewed. They cannot be checked in and then checked out again right away. The library user must wait until the book gets back to the Reference shelves before checking it out again.

GUEST WIFI CONNECTION PROBLEMS
Please contact the ITS desk in the morning regarding this problem.
A patron could not log onto the guest wifi, an error message of – Authentication failed null – appeared briefly each time the patron was sent a passcode to log onto the wifi.
The patron tried using different emails, phone numbers, usernames, and passcodes on two different devices and still no results came.

Lights went out 24 7 Ref Donor Hall…
Lights went out 24/7, Ref, Donor Hall, Stacks, & Basement again at 5 today. Elevator 8 also shut down at 5 requiring a swipe card for access. We’re going to let it go for today but the timer will have to be reset before next weekend.
24/7 LEAK
There was a leak in the 24/7 area. Adrian called it in at 8:40.

The police was called by a patron in the library regarding someone who looked severely sick and unresponsive.Police escorted the patron out of the library.
