Student in Need of Medical Attention

The circulation got a report that female students seem in need of medical attention in the first floor of the Love Library by the girls bathroom (6:23pm). Robert and I talk to the student; she was sitting down in the chairs by the girl’s bathroom. Jessica seemed incoherent when talked to, and seemed like she didn’t have any balance when she stood up. Jessica also had a white powdery substance on her finger. She did not want any medical attention, so I called public safety while Robert talked to Jessica (6:25pm). Public Safety arrived at 6:33pm. After the officer talked to Jessica, and had permission to look in her pursed, she did have a small zip-lock bag with white powder. The officer arrested Jessica, and left the building around 6:48pm. She was on something for sure.

Master Plan for EIS

As of today, 02/23/15, “Engineering and Interdisciplinary Science Building Mitigated Negative Declaration” volume 1 and 2 can be found on course reserves.

Occasionally we are asked to place materials on reserve for public notice. This is part of a 30-day public review, and the master plan for EIS (Engineering and Interdisciplinary Sciences).

The Master Plan can be found through our General Library Catalog by tittle or through the Reserves Catalog (Professor: SDSU, Course: EIS Master Plan).

Library user operated swipe card readers

The swipe card readers on the front counter have been moved to the opposite side of the monitors. We’re encouraging library users to swipe their own cards so that we don’t have to handle them. Please ask that the user show us the picture before checking out material – they can just hold up their card for you. So far there haven’t been any issues, but please add any comments if you encounter difficulties or pushback from patrons.
